More than thirty years ago…
More than thirty years ago, our very first wedding took place between Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Tropez, long before we imagined that a spontaneous celebration would become the beginning of a lifetime devoted to weddings, events, and unforgettable experiences.
It was not planned as the start of a business. It was simply two best friends in love who decided to marry.
The ceremony took place in Gustavia's charming church, built in 1955. With little time to prepare, everything came together organically, guided by friendship, imagination, and a shared desire to create a beautiful celebration.
My response was immediate. With my typically enthusiastic "Let's do it — now!" attitude, a spontaneous wedding quickly began to take shape. What followed was an exquisite island barbecue, remarkable generosity from friends, and the kind of effortless magic that Saint-Barthélemy seems to inspire.
At the time, I had been oil painting scenes on the island. A dear friend who was photographing for Vogue happened to be there and happily captured the celebration. His lovely wife, a model herself, gathered flowers from their villa to help create the setting. Nothing felt orchestrated, yet everything came together beautifully.
There were no elaborate production teams or grand plans. Instead, there was style, creativity, hospitality, and heart. A caravan of pale blue Mini- Mokes carried flowers, food, and wine around Saint-Jean Bay in a joyful procession. I led the way on a small motorcycle, barefoot, making certain every detail found its place. Looking back, many of the elements that define our work today were already there — fashion, beauty, luxury, storytelling, and the belief that every guest should feel part of something extraordinary.
What began as a spontaneous wedding became a memory that has endured for decades.
Today, the couple remain happily married, and we look forward to celebrating their thirtieth wedding anniversary in a remote and meaningful spot in St. Barth’s - known only to a few. Somewhere, a hidden treasure still waits to be rediscovered — buried years ago as a symbol of friendship, adventure, and the promise that life's most meaningful moments should never be forgotten.
The airport in those days was still the “old “airport, and we wisely avoided the flight path whenever possible. Instead, we found refuge on the windsurfing beach in Saint-Jean, long before it became known as Niki Beach. It was a simpler time, filled with balmy breezes, friendship, and the carefree spirit that made Saint-Barthélemy so special.
Le reste appartient à l'histoire.
The rest is history.
Troy and Mary's wedding ignited a passion that would grow into decades of producing luxury weddings, cultural celebrations, charitable events, concerts, and international productions.
Today, our work extends from Monaco, Paris, Saint-Tropez, Versailles, the Côte d'Azur, Saint-Barthélemy, and the Loire Valley to remarkable destinations around the world. Yet we remain devoted to Saint-Barthélemy, where our journey truly began. The island is woven into our story, filled with cherished memories, lifelong friendships, and what we like to believe is a touch of good fortune.
And Saint-Barthélemy? It has always been part of the adventure — a place of sunshine, style, laughter, and unforgettable moments. A place where friendships deepen, stories begin, and memories seem to linger long after the occasion has passed.
Puka shells, caviar, pale blue Mini-Mokes, friendship, and a sense of adventure — the memories of a story that still makes us smile.
Très, très St. B…
Merci!
